In Collaboration  with the Kerala Mathematical Association the Department of Mathematics organized a four day orientation programme for the I Semester PG students of Mathematics with the objective of acquainting them with basic ideas and concepts related to the core subjects of thr First Semester.The classes were held from 9-30 am to 3-30 pm on four Saturdays  begining from 01 August 09.

Resourcen Persons of the programme were

1.Prof.T.Thrivikraman(formerly) Cochin University of Science and Technology

2.Dr.Mangalambal N.R.,St.Joseph's College,Irinjalakuda

3.Dr.P.B.Vinodkumar,Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology,Kochi

4.Dr.Rajan,Government College,Munnar

57 students from colleges like Little Flower College,Guruvayur,St.Thomas College,Thrissur,St.Mary's College,Thrissur,S.N.College,Alathur and St.Joseph's College,Irinjalakuda attended the programme.

The Orientation programme was inaugurated by Dr.T.Thrivikraman in a meeting presided over by Rev.Sr.Dr.Rose Bastin,Vice Principal,St.Joseph's College on 01 August 09
