PG students of Biotechnology department visited Emmanuel Kripa Trust (A Psycosocial Rehabilitation Centre),Kodakara

Department of Biotechnology has been conducting outreach programme every year as one of the best practices of the department. Through such programme, the students became aware and empathize to the sufferings of the poor, marginalized and underprivileged sections of the society. As part of this year’s community outreach programme, PG students of department of Biotechnology visited Emmanuel Kripa Trust (a psyco social rehabilitation centre), Kodakara on 6^th April 2018. Students spare a full day with the inmates wholeheartedly. Students had good conversation with the inmates which enabled to inculcate in them the values of empathy and compassion. Furthermore they also catered food to inhabitants which they served themselves and made a donation of Rs 10000 towards the contribution for providing basic amenities and physical needs to them. It was really a different experience for all the students.
