(Alumna,1985-‘87) Memories associated with my alma mater are far too many… I vividly remember performing on various occasions at our vibrant campus. I was truly blessed to have teachers and staff who always supported my passion and encouraged me to dance. I remember taking part in the Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom, folk dance and light music competitions. A fond memory that is etched in my heart, is that of our group receiving the first prize for group dance in the D-Zone and Inter-zone competitions. I remember how the practice sessions in the huge auditorium used to go on for hours together. Our teachers ensured that we had the most unique and beautiful costumes and accessories which were painstakingly handmade by them. The attention given to even the smallest of details, was truly commendable. Be it the presentation, formation or coordination of our performances, our teachers and sisters brought out the best in us. Decades later, it felt surreal to perform on the same stage at the Golden Jubilee celebration of our college in 2014, where I was being conferred with the title of “Cultural Ambassador of Fine Arts”. It was an absolute honour, for which I am truly grateful to the faculty of St. Joseph's. Be it academics or fine arts, I believe that this college gives equal attention to both, providing a unique, all-round experience for students. I’ve always been and will continue to be proud that I am an alumna of the prestigious St Joseph’s College. Achievements include: Mohiniyattom Virtuoso and Performer, Model, Proprietor of Aesthetic Additions- Sustainable Artwork, Mural Painting artist, National Talent Search Scholarship Winner for Mohiniyattom, Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academi’s Recognition for Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattom, Individual Championship in School and University Youth Festivals, The first youngest, Senate Member of Calicut University, Natya Druma Puraskar, All India Malayali Association Women’s Day Award - "Sthree Shakthi"-2018
