The 66th Kerala piravi day was celebrated in St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) , Irinjalakuda organized by the Department of Commerce (Unaided UG Programme) on 3rd November 2022 ( Thursday ). The program, Mamjeera Kairali paved the way to remember and honor our mother tongue and mother land.

The 66th Kerala piravi day was celebrated in St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) , Irinjalakuda organized by the Department of Commerce (Unaided UG Programme) on 3rd November 2022 ( Thursday ). The program, Mamjeera Kairali paved the way to remember and honor our mother tongue and mother land . The programmes were conducted and organized by the Department. The faculties gave full effort and support to the students for conducting the program in a well manner. The day started with a common prayer , and then the competitions started .


                    First  program was off stage competition, pencil drawing which started at 10:30 am in Franco Memorial Block. The theme of poster making was unique Kerala and pencil drawing was Innathe Keralam. The winner of pencil drawing was Ms. Ananya K.U of B.A History. At the same time Quiz competition was also held in the College auditorium. 36 groups participated in the competition. Each group had 2 members in it. The winners of quiz competition were Ms.Nazeen Fathima K and Ms. Faiza . Then we had poster making competition at 11:30 am which was also held in Franco Memorial Block and the winner was Ananya K.U . Then began off stage programs , speech was conducted at 11:30 am in the main auditorium and the winner was Ms. Niya of Chemistry Dept. Puzzle competition was at 10:30 am in Franco Memorial block. It consisted of 2 students in a team and the winners were Ms. Abhirami and Ms. Angela. Then semi classical solo dance was conducted and the winner was Ms. Meghna of Biotech. After this 1st years students of Department of Commerce (Unaided UG Programme),  performed thiruvathirakali and then malayali manga competition was held at 2:00 pm and the winner was Ms. Jisna of BCA . At last our students performed a ramp walk which represents the states of India and embracing the culture of the states . All the winners of the competition were given cash prize of Rs 501 each by our HOD Mr . Thomas Sir and Malayali Manga cash prize was Rs 1001 handovered  by M/s Nayana (Assistant Professor, Dept of Hindi) and M/s Rincy (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Costume and Fashion Designing) . The program was concluded by a vote of thanks.
