Research department of commerce celebrated Teacher's Day on 12/09/2022

Parents are the first teachers and teachers are the second parents. Teachers’ day is celebrated on 5^th September every year to recognize the effort of teachers and their importance in shaping the future of students. It is celebrated on the birthday of S Radhakrishnan, the first President of India. A staunch believer of education, he is also a well known diplomat, scholar and above all a teacher. The theme of Teachers day this year is ' transformation of education begins with teachers’.

The Department of Commerce celebrated Teachers day through Whatsapp as it was a holiday on 5^th September. It was the first phase of the event but it was no less than live celebrations as students took great efforts in making the day a memorable one. The students expressed their gratitude to the teachers whose contribution played a major role in turning them into the great individuals that they are today. The students conducted various programs to turn the session into a lively and cheerful one.

On 12^th September 2022, the students began the second phase of the event as they showed their love and affection to their dear teachers by gifting them greeting cards and flowers. The teachers also shared their memories and experience with students and thanked them. Later, the faculty members celebrated among themselves by cutting a cake.
