visit to Abhaya Bhavan 2023 ( Social )

The Research Department of Commerce, St. Joseph's College has visited Abhaya Bhavan on March 3rd at 12:30 pm. The visit was organized by 3rd year students of B.Com. All the students and faculty visited Abhaya Bhavan with immense pleasure. AbhayaBhavan is a home devoted to the care of people with physical and mental difficulties.

When we entered there, the mother superior Sr. Thresiamma Mambilly welcomed us and gave a speech about the inmates in Abhaya Bhavan and one of the important thing that sister said was these are differently abled people. Even though they are bedridden they have lot of skills which is gifted by the God.

The whole students were divided into three groups. Mainly there are three wards. One is for males and the other two is for females and children. Students started to visit each wards and tried to make an interaction with them. Students interacted with some people with lot of talents in drawing, singing, so on. The visit to Abhaya Bhavan makes them to rethink that how blessed they are and the importance of spending time with those people.

Research department of commerce, donated 3000 rupees towards their necessities. At 3 p.m students returned to college.
