The Department of Commerce was elevated to the status of a Research Centre by the University of Calicut in the year 2013. Research Centre was inaugurated on 08-07-2013 by Dr. Raveendranath K, Pro Vice Chancellor, Calicut University. Workshops, Seminars and invited talks on a regular basis are conducted to cater to the needs of ever changing global business environment. It enables the students to bring out their talents and to mould a bright future for them.

Additional to Central Library of the college, a Department Library is maintained with more than 600 books and various journals.
