Invited talk in connection with National Doctors Day ( Extra Curricular )

The Research Department of Commerce organised an invited talk on the topic 'A Doctor's Fight With Covid - 19 : Myths And Facts ' on 1st July 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM as a part of observance of National Doctor's Day.

The Research Department of Commerce organised an invited talk on the topic 'A Doctor's Fight With Covid - 19 : Myths And Facts ' on 1st July 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM as a part of observance of National Doctor's Day. The talk was arranged via Google meet . This programme mainly aimed at giving information regarding the pandemic Covid - 19 . The talk was lead  by Dr. Ashna Varghese , Former RMO , Daya Hospital, Thrissur and Metro Hospital, Irinjalakuda . Approximately 60 participants including students and staff from within the college attended the session .
   The programme was started with a welcome speech .  The welcome speech was delivered by Bagyalakshmi from 3rd Semester PG . Dr Ashna  talked about facts regarding Covid - 19 , the uses of thermometer, pulse oximeter etc , information regarding isolation of people having tested positive for Covid - 19 , measures to be taken if we have fever etc . She also gave valuable information regarding vaccine , special care to be given for pregnant women at this time , myths regarding Covid vaccine and described how antibodies works in our body and how it helps us from complications . In order to avoid complications , we should consult a Doctor and should avoid self treatment , she said . We should obey the Covid - 19 guidelines in order to get rid of this situation .
  The programme was very informative and useful , and is of very important as the crisis is still going on . At last , vote of thanks was delivered by Sradha Baiju from 3rd Semester UG .  Dr . Ashna thanked the entire Department of Commerce for giving her such an opportunity . The co-operation of everyone made this event a grand success .
