About the college
St.Joseph’s college has been

Research and Post Graduate Department
of Commerce and Management Studies is the single largest department in the
college. The department offers BBA, B.Com, M.Com and Ph.D courses. The
department conducts seminars and workshops on a regular basis to cater to the
needs of the ever-changing global business environment. It enables the students
to bring out their talents and to mould a bright future for them.
About the seminar
Research in common parlance refers to
a search for knowledge. One can also define research as a scientific and
systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. In fact,
research is an art of scientific investigation. Research methodology is a way
to systematically solve the research problem. It is necessary for the
researcher to know not only the research methods/ techniques but also the
methodology.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Research and Post Graduate Department
of Commerce and Management Studies call for papers on “Marketing and Finance”.
Papers may be presented on the following themes.
A. Marketing
B. Finance
Those who are desirous of presenting
papers in the seminar are requested to send an abstract not exceeding 250 words
by e-mail on or before 14th March 2014 in MS Word, Times New
Roman, with font size 12 (1.5 line spacing). Full paper not exceeding 15 pages
should reach the organizing committee on or before 18th March
2014. A soft copy must be sent by e-mail and one hard copy by post. Papers will
be reviewed by a committee before accepting them for presentation.
