Department of Computer Science celebrates Online Ponnonam 2020 on August 30th, 2020

PONNONAM 2020

Onam Festival falls during the Malayalam month of Chingam (August - September). It is the biggest festival celebrated with joy and enthusiasm by people of all communities in Kerala, with four days of State holiday. It commemorates the subsequent homecoming of the legendary Emperor Mahabali. Onam is reminiscent of Kerala’s agrarian past, and is considered to be a harvest festival.

Onam celebration of students of our department held on 30th August 2020 through google meet. The programme was started with the prayer song of Athira ,II BCA student. Eveline Varghese ,Convenor of the programme presided over the function. Dr. Sr. Anis K V, Honorable Principal of the college inaugurated the celebration by lighting the virtual lamp. Along with this, selected students from our department presented a beautiful ‘onam song ‘. Sr. Blessy , HOD, Department of computer science delivered  felicitation  note. Ms. Reesha P U, Programme committee Convenor proposed the vote of thanks. After that various competitions including Athappokkalam, Tiruvathira, Onappattu, Maveli and Malayali Manka were conducted as part of the celebration. Students of various Departments actively participated in all the competitions and gathered several prizes.
