An industrial visit was conducted by the department of Costume & Fashion Designing to “Thrissur Wovens”, Ashtamichira.

An industrial visit was conducted by the department of Costume & Fashion Designing to “Thrissur Wovens”,  Ashtamichira on 19-11-2021 as part of the curriculum. The industry specializes in braziers. The students could visit all the departments and learn the processes in detail. The cutting master uses semi-automatic cutting machineries which are faster and accurate. The industry follows line production system in which the sewing operators sits in a line format for the construction which results better production. The produced braziers go through a measurement check followed by the extra thread trimming. The finished braziers are pressed neatly, box packed and dispatched. The buyers list of “Thrissur Wovens” includes V-star, Kitex etc. 
The industrial visit conducted was interesting as well as informative for the students.
