On 28th July 2021, World Nature Conservation Day was celebrated by conducting a National level Photography Competition by the Research Department of Commerce of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda .On 28th July 2021, World Nature Conservation Day was celebrated by conducting a National level Photography Competition by the Research Department of Commerce of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda .The World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on July 28.Saving plants and animals that are threatened with extinction is one of the primary focuses of the World Nature Conservation Day.There is also an emphasis on keeping the various components of nature intact. These include flora & fauna, energy resources, soil water and air.In recent times, the need for keeping the environment has become more stark in view of relentless human overexploitation of resources, which has led to weird weather patterns increasingly being the norm the world over.The programme was coordinated by students of III DC B.COM Anjali T.P. and akhila V.B. 

        The competition started on 26th July 2021 and came to an end on 28th July 2021. Theme was " Nature Conservation ". Necessary guidelines were given for the participants . Rs 1000 was declared as first prize, Rs 750 as 2nd prize  and 500 ans 3rd prize. Over 79 students from kerala and other states registered for this event . 38 students actively participated in the competition. Overall the competition was a great success.
