St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda has a tradition of collecting structured feedbacks from its stakeholders to gauge the impacts of all the efforts taken by the institution in its journey of advancements. An actively functioning feedback committee ensures that the syllabus revision is carried out in adherence to the feedback collected every year from its stakeholders- students, teachers, employers and alumni to deliver a curriculum that is beneficial and up-to-date. The committee ascertains that the modes of gathering the responses are novel and convenient for the stakeholders in order to obtain genuine responses. The responses received from these stakeholders are studiously analysed and the reports are generated based on the findings. The Board of Studies, IQAC, Academic Council, Governing Council and the management of the college scrutinize the analysed report forwarded by the feedback committee to filter out the best options for decisive implementation of actions in the syllabus. This structured procedure of feedback mechanism has a history of creating positive and impactful changes in the curricular design followed in the institution. The regular and yearly revisions in the feedback mechanism aids in absorbing the finest and the creamiest layer of opinions from the stakeholders that creates a launchpad for the institution for rocketing its hopeful initiatives towards progress. As an educational institution, the delivery of quality education is a major objective of our college. To this end, the curriculum is designed to ensure continuous and comprehensive education. The curriculum becomes the heart of student’s learning experience and it is necessary to regularly review and redesign it to serve the changing needs of every student and the society. St. Joseph’s College is keen to expand the horizons of every student’s potential by introducing the student to quality learning environment and preparing them for the emerging competitive market sphere through the feedback survey. The feedback form consists of statements to measure the agreement/disagreement of the stakeholders and the results are calculated as percentages. The questions are intrinsically designed after multiple level checks to ensure the quality of the curricular aspects and additional separate spaces are allocated for descriptive syllabus specific comments from the responders. The stakeholders have the facility to respond in the feedback form through any convenient means- online/offline. They can even directly drop in their suggestions through the suggestion boxes mounted at different corners of the college building or handover the same to the concerned authorities during any working hours. It gives immense pleasure for the institution to receive responses from our stakeholders as they become a definite statement of our performance and opens up doors of advancements in the future.

As a regulatory process, St. Joseph’s College constantly reviews its ways and means of achieving unbeatable quality in its educational endeavours. A systematized feedback mechanism on the syllabus is one of its means to keep its educational standards up to the expectations of its stakeholders. Feedback from the stakeholders of the college is collected annually on the prospects of refining the syllabus followed by the students of the institution. The feedback template comprises questions that extract only the best of opinions and suggestions in regard to the syllabus and co-curricular activities. The received responses are thoroughly studied and brainstormed for the most suitable method of implementation that delivers the desired results in the desired form at the root level.
