The Department of Costume and Fashion Designing, in collaboration with Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology, Calicut, orchestrated a seminar on "Thematic Line Development" on November 23, 2023. This academic endeavor sought to intertwine theoretical foundations with practical insights, focusing on the intricate process of developing thematic lines within the realm of fashion portfolios and the translation of themes into the creation of five garments.

The seminar, conducted online from 10 am to 12 pm, served as a virtual forum for participants to delve into the nuances of thematic line development. Devika Arangil, an esteemed Assistant Professor at Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology, led the seminar. Her expertise illuminated the intricacies of fashion portfolio construction, emphasizing the transition from thematic ideation to the tangible realization of five distinct garments.

Sreeranjini Sagar, Head of the Department of Costume and Fashion Designing, inaugurated the event with a warm welcome, setting the tone for an insightful exploration of thematic line development. Ms. Sagar underscored the collaborative nature of the seminar, highlighting the importance of merging academic knowledge with practical industry perspectives.
