It is our collective responsibility to protect the environment for future generations to live a long and healthy life. Puneet Sagar Abhiyan is to tackle the issue of plastic
pollution caused by the excessive use of plastic products.
NCC cadets of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda took the initiative
to make awareness on pollution caused by the use of plastic bags by making paper
bags as a part of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan on International Plastic Bag Free Day, 3rd July 2023. All cadets made paper bags and distributed the hand made paper bags to different stores in their surroundings. This step was taken to give awareness to the society to decrease the use of plastic products. Posters and videos of activities were uploaded in various social media platforms like youtube, twitter, instagram etc.
