NCC Cadets of St.Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda actively took part
in the rally held on 2nd September 2022 from Koodalmanikyam temple to Ayankav
Maidanam via Tana. The rally was conducted as a part of Varnakuda 2K22 which is
being held at Ayankav Maidanam, near Municipal Station, Irinjalakuda. The
program was officially organized under the leadership of Dr R Bindhu, Irinjalakuda
MLA and State Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice, Government of
Kerala. The opening session was a colorful cultural procession of thousands from
kuttamkulam area accompanied by musical instruments, art forms, silk umbrellas
and plots. Later in the inaugural ceremony Malayalam singer P. Jayachandran was
given a token of love and affection by Irinjalakuda Pauravali. The President’s
Speech was given by Dr R Bindhu. Padmashri Kalamandalam Gopiyashan,
Padmashri Peruvanam Kuttanmarar, magician Gopinath Mutukad, Uppummulak
fame Shivani and other Local Self Government Chairpersons also participated in the inaugural session. There after Jayachadhrika was staged under the leadership of jayawaries.
