The COMFIESTA fest held on 18th November conducted by the department of commerce (unaided programme) at the auditorium, was a dynamic platform showcasing the process and talent of students in the realm

 The COMFIESTA fest held on 18th November conducted by the department of commerce (unaided programme) at the auditorium, was a dynamic platform showcasing the process and talent of students in the realm. The program started at 9 AM within a inaugural ceremony graced by esteemed dignitaries, principal Dr.Sr.Blessy, HOD Mr. THOMAS K.I and other faculties have lightened the lamp of the inauguration. The prayer was sung by Sree Parvathy thereafter, welcome speech was by Thamana sherin and Dr.Sr.Blessy spoke was a few words about the management fest and the department.

 A diverse range of competitions proceeded participants with opportunities to exhibit their skills and knowledge and came from more than 50  higher secondary schools to participate in the event:

The competitions where the following:

  1. The brainiacs (Best Manager):-

                                   The first round was preliminary puzzle round, consisting of 30 questions, Second round was group discussion (GD)

round, students divided into 2 groups engaged in discussions then came elimination round that selected 16 participants for further rounds, 3rd round was a role play and the final round was stress interview. The cash price for the winners is Rs 10,000.


  1. Biz Quiz (commerce quiz):-

                                The event had first round in total where preliminary round conducted for purpose of elimination. The first round was a multiple choice question where only 50% of them would be qualified in 10 minutes. Second round was crossword round with time limit of 10 minutes. For the next round selected 5 teams where given question sets in this round, there were 3 sub rounds. General round with 3 questions, time limit of 13 seconds, Second round was visual round it consists of logos, emblems and image of eminent personalities. 30 seconds of where given to the last round was rapid fire, 4 questions were asked to each team. The first price was Rs 7500, Second price was 5000, and third price was 2500.


  1. Buzz Bees ( Marketing Game ) :-

                                            The event was a group event, First round was quiz round consisting of 20 questions, with a time limit of 2 minutes. Next round was crossword puzzle, it had 15 words with the time limit of 2 minutes. The next round was advertising round the material were given for advertising, The final round was to sell a sponge within the college. The highest price within the time limit was given the first position of 7500 and second price Rs 4000.


  1. Spot Photography(Pic Sque) :-

                                    A particular topic was selected as a theme and with the given time the participants was allowed only in the college atmosphere. First price Rs 6000 and Second price Rs 3000.  


  1. Magic Feet ( Spot Dance) :-

                                 The event had 3 rounds in total, First round was for 2 minutes. Dance out of that the best 7 participants were selected to the second round. Which was a dance battle round, the third round was a dance battle round with properties. The first price was Rs 5000 and Second price was Rs 3000.                         


  1. Furious Finders( Treasure Hunt):-

                                          The event had a total of 4 rounds in total. The first round was a finding logo; over 50 logos in 1 minutes, 50 % of them was selected to the second round, The second round was collection of materials, The third round was identifying the clue and finding the place and the final round was finding the treasure by solving the clues. First price was Rs 6000 and the second price was Rs 3000.


                          The fest served as a melting pot of ideas, enabling participants to gain practical exposure on enhancing the problem solving skills and broaden their perspectives, with the success of the fest would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee, faculty, mentors, sponsors, participants and the entire department, whose enthusiasm and commitment made this event a resounding success.
