Fresher’s day is one of the most awaited day of first year students of every  college. It is one of the most important day  for them as they get to know the people around them and know the environment they will be in for the next few years. The 1^st of August, 2023 was a memorable day in the life of every first year post graduate students of 2023-2025 batch of St Joseph's College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda.

The fresher’s day HAKUNA MATATA was a wonderful event organised by the Second year PG students for their dear juniors which was filled with love, happiness and excitement of a new beginning. They hope that their juniors will have the same good experience they had in their first year of PG.

Hecksy S Parayil, second year PG, was the host of the event.

The world we build tomorrow is born in the prayers we say today. Lakshmi AR and Kiran Joby filled the events atmosphere with the blessings of god and Adeena Mariya, leader of the senior batch, gave the Welcome speech.

The event was graced by the vibrant faculty of the Centre for Research, Commerce. Dr Sr Eliza, the Vice Principal, HOD Remya S along with Elizabeth Paul, Jitha Thomas, Amrutha Thomas, Siby Linson, Soumya Stephen,Rupini T S and Sherline T I.

The first part of the event was the introduction of the newcomers. They were also made to participate in various games and prizes were given away by the faculty and Semester toppers of previous year. The faculty and students were also provided refreshments and drinks in periodic intervals.

Anjaly Denny, Assistant leader of Second year PG, gave the vote of thanks at the end of the event.

It is noteworthy to say that it was one wonderful experience for the freshers to begin their year and their seniors were successful in conducting the event and making it a memorable one.
