Commemoration of the drama icon William Shakespeare, titled “REJOUISSANCE: SHAKESPEARE@400."

 The Department of English launched a year long programme to commemorate the drama icon William Shakespeare, titled “REJOUISSANCE: SHAKESPEARE@400."  

As part of the initiative, the  Department of English conducted a Mobile Quiz based on William Shakespeare dated on 3-11-2016.  The students from the Department of English visited all the departments and classes of the college as part of the quiz programme. The programme was inaugurated in the auspicious presence of the college principal, Dr Sr Chirsty.

Ø  Cos-Opera, a soliloquy competition on Shakespeare was conducted by the Department.

Ø  As the culmination of Rejouissance Shakespeare @ 400, Post Graduate and Research Department of English organized Sagesse Lit 2016, an intercollegiate literary quiz on William Shakespeare,  on 6th December 2016 on Shakespeare and Zeitgeist 2016 a literary cultural fest, which includes:

§  Brainosphere: a PPT presentation on “Power and Gender in Shakespearean Plays”

§  Play Pic : telling the stories through pictures with dialogues

§  Spectaculum: Enacting Shakespearean scenes with dialogues

Ø  A paper presentation on William Shakespeare and His Contributions to the world of literature was organized on 22nd August, 2016
